Looking like the most gorgeously-wrapped gift ever, Deepika Padukone slays in this absolutely breath-taking monochrome number by Peter Dundas. She kept her jewellery classy with a pair of diamond hoop earrings by Lorraine Schwartz. And, of course, you can’t miss the sleek, edgy hairstyle of a pulled-back, super high ponytail. The exaggerated kohl-rimmed eyes were in line with the dramatic graphic liner trend, while the rest of her makeup was light & minimal, including nude lips.

Bollywood-turned-Hollywood star Priyanka Chopra looked classy & chic for her second look on Day 1 of Cannes, as she donned this all-white Honayda piece. The bustier gave on to a pair of flared, pleated wide leg pants, and was layered with a separate pleated choker style one sided cape. She flaunted a beautiful sheer ivory organza button-down blouse with an embroidered bib front and paired it up with black pants having frogging. The Victorian look was accessorized by a statement black and gold choker necklace, sling back pumps and dainty earrings.

Bollywood diva Kangana Ranaut stayed true to her desi roots as she arrived at Cannes in a stunning beige and gold Kanjeevaram saree by Madhurya Creations. She paired it with a bejewelled, bling, corset and corset belt by Falguni Shane Peacock. She went the unconventional path by opting for long, velvet, royal purple gloves and a slick, coiled-up retro hair do.

Caroline De Maigret killed it at Cannes this year in this beautiful black and gold number by Chanel. She re-established the fact that you could never go wrong with Chanel as she slayed this smart black ankle length dress, having gold ribbed design on the fluttery sleeves and tapered fishtail bottom. She decided to keep the makeup nude, and let her hair (and bangs) down as she posed pretty using those pockets of her dress well.

Shailene Woodley turned heads in a power-packed outfit. This star channeled #BossLady vibes in a black Dior piece for Cannes this year. She donned a white lapel collared, black blazer jacket over a white shirt, a feathery black scarf and black shorts. She knows the significance of black pumps going a long way as she chose just that along with diamond feather shaped dangler earrings.
