Yes, New Year’s resolutions are almost always about diets, workouts or giving up a bad habit, but here are some suggestions that takes you out of the same old. (And you don’t have to work too hard to achieve them, either!):

1. Try a daring trend

Step out of your comfort zone this year and try a bold new trend you would never have done before. Put away last year’s “playing it safe” when it comes to fashion choices and embrace new trends and styles. Check out your favourite designers or celebrities and try out new looks whether that means a new vibrant shade or an accessory you’ve been wanting to add to your look. Go on surprise yourself!

2. Rearrange and redecorate your space

Tweak your space for a fresh new look by rearranging and redecorating your space. Go room by room and throw out (or repurpose) the older things and buy something new to decorate your house with. Clear out the kitchen cupboards, wardrobes, laundry and any kind of storage and reorganise it so you know where everything is. It will not only avoid clutter, but it will also refresh your space and give you the mood boost you want.

3. Plan your outfits

It may sound like a lot of work at first but embracing outfit planning will help you more than you imagine. You may also want to make a weekly plan. It’s a stress-free way to get dressed. Plus, it’s super satisfying to see an organised wardrobe! And who knows, you might find that old jacket or pair of denims in the back of your shelves that you may want to wear again!

4. Use social media to discover something you love

Instead of just scrolling through your feed on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Snapchat, find something new to add to your life. With social media bringing the world closer to you and giving you access to millions of people and their stories; you can use this wealth of knowledge to discover something you love. Whether it is fashion, interior design, reading or just finding people to connect with, this year use social media to grow yourself.
