No season is a good season for your face to act-up, but if you ever need your skin to behave, then wedding season is THE time for it.
Whether you’re the bride-to-be, just girl who’s ready to meet someone (what better place than a wedding right?), or if you’re preparing to be part of a few big weddings this year, whatever your reasons girls, there’s nothing like some natural masks to take your skin, to wedding season perfect stature.
The Old Besan Hustle
Never underestimate the power of the besan powder. If there was ever a time to listen to grandma, wedding season is it! If you have a month or more at hand, then start small. Make a smooth paste out of besan and milk or water (depending on your skin type), and apply a generous coating to your face. Leave it on for about 10-15 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water, pat dry for the finish!
What’s amazing about besan, is that it’s a great lightening agent, so if you’ve got a little tan, besan is going to be your best friend.
Clay Masks
Clay masks are perfect way to deep cleanse your skin. It pulls out all impurities and tightens your pores to perfection. Sounds good? It’s worth a try.
Mix a tablespoonful of Kaolin Clay (you can buy it online), with a few drops your favourite essential oil and a tablespoon on apple cider vinegar. Apply the blend to your face till it dries well, and then wash it off gently. You could also top this routine by applying some base oil to the areas you think are most likely to dry up after the mask.
Banana Mask
Mashed bananas, two tablespoons of sour cream and one tablespoon of honey, viola! If you feel like your skin looks dull and dry, then the goodness of this blend will quench the thirst, and unclog those pores so they can breathe again.
Keep the application on for 20 minutes before you clean it off.
Tomato and Honey
Yup, you read right! All you need is two tablespoons of tomato juice and a spoonful of honey, mix the two and let your face soak this soothing mixture for the next 30 minutes.
This concoction is perfect for acne, blackheads, and the likes.
Coffee Glow
Radiant bride or glowing bride’s maid, if you’re going to be at a wedding, this is your secret recipe.
Take a spoonful of ground coffee, add another spoon of cocoa powder to it and mix it with curd. Make a healthy paste, leave it on your face for about 20 minutes and wash it off for that secret glow.
