Brrrr… The cold wind and light sun are here to plunge you into a deep, shivering chilly mess. Windswept and freezing, the only thing that can save you is the gorgeous art of ‘layering’… Good thing that we’re pros in it!
Here are a few tips and tricks to let your layering do the talk!
#3 – Your boots are the stars
Boots are hawt… any day of the year! But during winter, your boots may not cover you all up as you would want. Our top favorites are sheer or shimmery stockings or tights. And if it’s really, really cold, go for tights under your skinny denims and then tuck them in your knee length boots! Gorgeous!
#2 – Belts over your coats and sweaters
The key to layering is to keep your last piece of layer loose and hanging! So, any sweater or jacket that you’re wearing underneath can be cinched at the waist with a nice belt to keep your original form. Top it with an open coat and you’re good to go!
#1 – The Scarf Game
The classic, around the neck cashmere is a great look, yes, but there are other ways to top your look with a nice scarf. You can make a scarf into an exaggerated collar by throwing it over your shoulders, under your coat collar. Or you can wear scarfs as hats, tied around your ears to keep you warm. I’m sure you all have seen those numerous videos on ‘how to tie your scarf’! Go crazy!
Layer up good, the winter is going to be scathing this year…
